Archaic Revival: News

The Loss of Our Bassist - November 1, 2009

We are sad to announce that our bassist, Loomi, has left Archaic Revival. We can understand the reasons why. His decision to leave the band was mainly due to the fact that he is a guitarist and he has lost the desire to play bass guitar. The announce from Loomi was really no surprise to the rest of the group. W have no hard feelings for him and wish him the best of luck in whatever path he chooses next.

Our next announcement is, of course, that we are now looking for a new bassist. We are seeking a bassist who is not only skilled in his instrument, but has the ability to perform and entertain, has the desire to write music, and has the drive to help out with all other aspects of the band (sending out press kits, creating and handing out flyers, etc.). The person must also have professional equipment and their own, reliable transportation. There are no age limitations, the oldest in the group is 35 and the youngest is 20. Keep in mind that we all take this project seriously, and we need someone that does as well. If you think that you (or someone you know) are able to fill this position, please contact us for an audition.

Pagan Evolution Prices Lowered - October 8, 2009

For those of you who don’t yet own our debut album, Pagan Evolution, we have great news for you. We’ve just lowered the price of the album from $12.00 to $7.99! “Why?” you ask, because we want you to have the music. We’d only like to recuperate the cost to manufacture the CDs. I know what you’re thinking, and no, the CDs didn’t cost $7.99 to produce. They cost roughly $4 and our online retailer, CDBaby, takes $4 for each CD we sell. Just go to CDBaby to purchase your CD.

If $7.99 plus the cost of shipping is too much, we have a couple of options for you. We’ve also dropped the price of our digital download as well from $8.99 for the entire album to $3.99! No shipping involved. Go to CDBaby to purchase and download the high quality MP3’s.

We know the economy isn’t in the greatest state right now and we understand that many people are going through difficult times. So if you just don’t have the money to purchase our album, send us an email and we’ll send you a link where you can download the music for FREE. No gimmicks whatsoever. We’d like to do anything we can to help those in need during these times.

New Demos - October 3, 2009

For those of you who are excited to hear our new vocalist, but have not yet, we have posted four demos with the lovely Lorelei on the microphone. Check her out; let us know what you think. And the best part is that you can download the demos for FREE! Just go to our Music Page and download the songs. No obligations at all, we just want you to have the music.

Recap of Gier Park Show - July 13, 2009

The show had it's ups and downs. This was our second year performing at this event, and we wouldn't have come back if we didn't enjoy it last year. There were supposed to be 6 other bands playing with us. We were informed the last band that was scheduled to play backed out at the last minute. Then later into the afternoon, the band Octolux was on their way from Kentucky, I believe, and their transmission went out in their van at some point on way to Lansing, MI. So we were cut down to 5 bands total, instead of 7.

Unfortunately, their were a lot of sound issues throughout the day, but every band performed their best and we had a lot of fun. Right before we started setting up, we realized we had forgotten our drummer's hardware, so his drums were pretty much useless. We were fortunate enough to have the drummer from Animal Mother let us use his set. Lorelei was able to use her new wireless mic for the first time. She now has the freedom to move around and we think her theatrics have definitely come up a notch. This definitely wasn't our best gig, but we learned a lot from it and look forward to doing this event next year. And as always, thanks to all our fans who made it out.

Recap of Hayloft Show - June 20, 2009

This show was put on by Gorilla Productions. I was very anxious before the show, just because there was so much going on, but in the end, I think it was one of our best shows ever! Lorelei has really made great improvement in only a couple of shows. She is definitely growing her our fan club. We only had a 30 minute set but we had the entire audience on their feet at the end of the show. The sound engineer, Big Sexy, was even impressed with our show and let the crowd know it. Again, we met a lot of new fans, hopefully all of you are reading this. We hope you guys come back out to see us.

Recap of Uli's Haus of Rock Shows - June 7, 2009

Friday, June 5th was Reign IV’s album release party for their new album, Tale Untold. We opened up for them and put on one hell of a show. Fortunately we didn’t have any stage or sound problems this time. Friday night was a lot of fun and we made quite a few new fans. There was a huge crowd and Reign IV totally kicked ass as well! We played at Uli’s Haus of Rock again the following night with Reign IV again. Unfortunately we didn’t have as large of a crowd as the night before. It sounded like everyone partied way too hard the night before to make it out on Saturday. We had a great time meeting all our new fans and can’t wait to see all you guys again.

Recap of Relay for Life Show - May 30, 2009

This was our first show with the new vocalist, Lorelei. The show was interesting to say the least. The stage wasn’t the sturdiest we’ve ever played on. Not only did a few of the sections rock back and forth, but Joey’s drum set wouldn’t stay still. Half way through the show, we somehow blew the main speakers. We’re going to blame that on Lorelei’s dynamic vocal range. The speakers just couldn’t handle her. Not having any backup speakers was a drag, but we ended up turning the stage monitors around and finished the show.

We're proud to announce our new vocalist - Lorelei - May 28, 2009

Lorelei is a classically trained soprano vocalist. She’s been training for over 13 years at various institutions and is currently a student of Curt Peters. She also has a great deal of experience and training in theatre performance. We are very excited to have her front our band and we know you all will think the same.

Archaic Revival is now four - January 13, 2009

Some of you may already know, but we’re sure most of you don’t. Just before the end of the year, we decided to ask Stefanie, our vocalist, to step away from Archaic Revival. Unfortunately, we are moving forward in a direction that we don’t think Stefanie will be able to lead us in. We wish the best to her and hope she succeeds in whatever path she heads down.

We still have tickets available for our show this Sunday, November 23rd at the Hayloft in Mt. Clemens, MI. The show starts at 6:00PM and is all ages. Gig at Paychecks with Curse Icon - November 16, 2008

This was probably our best gig yet! The night started off pretty good with the first two bands but when Curse Icon took the stage, the energy level went through the roof. They are absolutely phenomenal! We played after Curse Icon and the energy stayed with us and we kicked ass! We ended up hanging out with them at a coney island after the show. What a great group of people. We can't wait to play with them again! You can check out Curse Icon here.

Everyone please welcome Joey Celski to the Archaic Revival lineup. Joey will be playing drums for AR replacing their former drummer, Brian. Brian has decided to take a break from music in order to concentrate on his family. He's expecting another child December! Joey is young but comes to AR with lots of experience from playing with bands around Detroit including Tenebreus. Please give Joey a heavy metal welcome!

Say Hello to Our New Vocalist! - July 28, 2008

The time has come to introduce Archaic Revival's new lead vocalist, Stefanie Stauffer. Stefanie has been studying classical style since she was in grade school. Look forward to her adding her own style to AR and even throwing some awesome violin licks into the mix. She totally kicked ass in her debut appearance with AR this weekend. Please give her a metal welcome.

And look for pictures of our most recent gig at the Gier Park BMX track in the next couple days.

New Vocalist! - July 25, 2008

Some of you may know, and some of you may not. For those who don't, we'd like to inform you that Alexandria has parted ways with Archaic Revival. She will be pursuing other avenues in music and unfortunately won't be able to focus enough of her energy on AR. We will miss her and wish her the best of luck.

That being said, we'd like to announce the addition of our new lead vocalist. But we're leaving it a surprise! We won't announce who she is until our next show on July 26th at Gier Park BMX Track. Come check out her first performance with Archaic Revival and see her KICK SOME ASS!

MCC: Battle of the Bands and Our New Bassist - April 27, 2008

The show went great! We sounded amazing! Thanks to everyone who caught us there, it was definitely a great time. Unfortunately, we didn't play the type of teenie-bopper music the crowd wanted to hear. But we gained exposure and met some really great contacts. Look for us to play many more shows soon!

We also want to announce our newest bassist, Loomi. He comes from various Detroit bands including the long running Motor City Burgers. We look forward to working with him on our future projects. Everyone give him a warm metal welcome.
